From Edith to Karatachi Nijika, these great Sword Art Online characters only show up in their video game counterparts.

The Sword Art Online anime is the inspiration for the Sword Art Online video game series. The different Sword Art Online games, like Sword Art Online: Infinity Moment, Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment, Sword Art Online: Lost Song, Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris, and many more, have kept players on the edge of their seats.

During the release of these games, Sword Art Online introduced a lot of new characters, some of whom have become fan favorites very quickly. Fans like these characters because they have different powers and skills that make them stand out. Some of these new characters have only been seen in the video game version and haven’t been seen in the anime yet.

Afasys

Afasys is a Type-X Unit that is different from other models in many ways. Both the canon female form of Afasys and the alternative male form look mostly white and purple.

Afasys is a forgetful and messy friend who often makes simple mistakes when doing a job. The protagonist can change the way the AI companion fights based on how they like to fight. With the Champion of Gunfire and DLC option, the Protagonist can choose how Afasys acts in certain situations, like when they level up.

Bazalt Joe

He is a major character in Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet. He is very interested in AI companions. Bazalt Joe is a nice man who always does what he says, no matter how hard it is or how bad it might be for him.

Even though he has failed many times, Bazalt Joe is very determined and never gives up looking for the Afasys android. But he is not evil by nature because he tries hard to get what he wants in an honest and straightforward way. Joe is a well-known player in Gun Gale Online, and his team loves him because he is always happy with how the team is doing.

Edith

Edith is a young woman who is about average size. Her skin is light, her hair is light brown, and her eyes are bright red. She was made just for Sword Art Online: Unleash Blading, a mobile game.

Before she became an Integrity Knight, Edith wore black pants, white long socks, and brown boots. As an Integrity Knight, Edith wears black leggings, black leather gloves, and black sleeves that aren’t the same length. Her black leather vest hides the diamond-shaped hole in her chest. She has white armor and a gray cape.

Genesis

In the game Sword Art: Origin, he is known as the Black Swordsman. When Genesis is focused on a fight, he looks and acts like a berserker and fights in the same way. He doesn’t seem to care about the people who aren’t the player in the game.

Genesis is one of the players in the game who doesn’t know how to be a good sport. He likes to take credit for the kills of other players and brag about it right in front of them. Even when Kirito and his friends killed a foe he had missed, he got mad.

Karatachi Nijika

She was one of the 10,000 people who got stuck in a game when the SAO Incident happened and caused a scandal. She became well-known in the gaming world because of how good she was on the field and how well-known she was in real life.

The fact that Nijika has been watching SAO’s top two players, Shiota and Yuurei, for a long time shows how shy she is. She is pretty good at what she does because she has already climbed all 53 floors of Aincrad without help.

Strea

In both Sword Art Online: Infinity Moment and Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment, Strea wears the same clothes. Her avatar has long lavender hair that flows from the top of her head to the top of each of her breasts. Strea is very strong because she has the Sharpness ability and the Protection Enhance Earth ability.

During battle, Strea likes to use the big purple two-handed sword Invaria with silver edges. She has the three best weapons in the game, which makes her a strong character. Strea makes social mistakes because she is happy, straightforward, and naive.

Sumeragi Youta

Sumeragi is an Undine who is a member of the Shamrock guild and uses a katana as a sword. He is a boss in this guild, even though Seven is the official leader. Sumeragi has won against the Demonic Sword Gram in the past.

Sumeragi can use his katana, Ame no Murakumo, with just one arm because he is so strong. He came up with his own sword style, which he calls “One-Handed Tyr.” Sumeragi can be used in the game once Kirito goes to the first island and has a private talk with Sumeragi.

Sai Yukitsugu

Itsuki is a mysterious person who refuses to say anything about who he really is. Most of his clothes are black and white, but the seams are red. He is the leader of the well-known “Alphard” Squadron in Gun Gale Online, and most people think he is one of the best players in the game.

Even though Itsuki seems like a calm and easygoing gamer, he is always looking for new things to try. Because of this, he eventually becomes the main bad guy in 8 Ball Pool game.

The Protagonist

Because of Kureha, the main character began to play Gun Gale Online (GGO). In the gameverse canon, the Protagonist is a young man with blue eyes and short, black hair. The female version of the Protagonist has green eyes and long black hair.

The main character has played a lot of games that don’t involve virtual reality. This ends up being one of the reasons why they get GGO so quickly. Even though it’s their first VRMMO game, they can dodge bullets like Kirito does.
